Its finished and it RIPS!
Picked up a 2022 YZ250F with an EM260 and QS138 70 V3 motor. Just need to finish the install and decide on battery size. Ill be making some videos about the process.

Alright. I started working on the bike. I tore everything down. First thing I needed to do was finish welding the motor mounts. The guy who started the project had just tacked them together so I finished them. Then I needed to get a new 520 chain and a 520 front sprocket. The sprocket that came with it was the wrong size. These QS138 are 17mm and take a 428. But the Yamaha uses a 20mm 520 sprocket so I either had to modify a 17 center to a 20mm sprocket or find a custom on. I was able to pick one up from Electro and Co.
Then I started mounting the controller. I am using a Votol EM 260 and I think the easiest mount is to mount it to the rear fender using an adaptor plate. I made the plate out of cardboard and then traced it and sent it off to Send Cut Sent to have it made from 1/4 aluminum.

Battery Time
Ok I got the bike all wired up and even running on the stand. I used a 72V lawn mower battery just to test it and it works great. Now I need to figure out the battery. I made a cardboard template of a battery. Then I measured it and scaled it in auto cad and made a grid of batteries. I am not quite sure if I want to go 21s (88V) or 20s (84v). I am asking for some advice in some groups before I figure out what battery pack ill go with.
